The conference will be led by 2 Polynesian scientists who, through their experience and concrete projects, will give an overview of the state of Polynesian forests and the issues involved in preserving them:
- Dr Jean-Yves Hiro Meyer, a field botanist, ecologist and biologist by training, will present the current status of forests in French Polynesia, their main threats and possible solutions for their conservation.
- Marie Fourdigniez, ecologist and botanist, will present the Mo'aroa valley restoration project led by AOA-Polynsian Forests and the results of the first actions.

An action to control invasive species and restore the Polynesian forest was initiated by AOA-Polynesian Forests in March 2023 to enable the maintenance of trees and the return of native undergrowth.
