How do machines learn?
There's a lot of talk about the Artificial Intelligence (AI) revolution, but what does the term mean in a context where the concepts of digital/computer science/robotics/algorithms/code/data are often mixed up? At the heart of this revolution lies the ability of machines to learn by taking advantage of the consumption of large volumes of data and the increase in computing power.

Claude Jard will explain the principles of machine learning, and use examples (in particular the current boom in conversational agents) to illustrate the challenges, prospects and biases of this fast-growing technology.
