Event organized by Makatea Escalade
The Polynesian Outdoor Sports Festival brings together some 250 participants for five days of outdoor activities on the island of Makatea. The program includes hiking, cliff-climbing, via ferrata, abseiling, zip-lining and traditional Holopuni sailing. Participants are accommodated in a large camping village and can enjoy a variety of musical entertainment, traditional sports, documentary films retracing the history of Makatea, and films on the development of climbing on the island.
