At ‘ĀU’A TAHITI – Coconut Bowl, you will discover the fascinating universe of the coconut, a true symbol of our islands. From harvesting the nut to the artisanal crafting of your own coconut bowl, we guide you step by step through the entire process. To make this experience even more unique, your bowl will be personalized with a laser engraving.
Workshops take place in Mahina, Tahiti, in small groups of 7 to 12 people to encourage genuine interaction and sharing. Larger groups can also be accommodated upon request.
More than just a creative activity, this immersion carries a meaningful purpose: reducing the use of plastic by offering a natural and sustainable alternative, and showcasing the value of local resources by highlighting all the richness of the coconut tree in collaboration with local partners. Nothing goes to waste; the flesh, water, and shell are all reused within a circular economy approach.
By the end of this workshop, you will leave not only with a handmade coconut bowl, but also with new knowledge, a deeper appreciation for the coconut tree, and an authentic Polynesian memory.
