3rd edition of the PARAU TI'AMA linguistic and cultural festival and the 'ARERE' competition.
Parau Ti'amā is an event designed to promote and enhance the indigenous languages still spoken in French Polynesia.
This festival offers an immersion in the native languages of Polynesia's archipelagos, through cultural workshops, events and conferences.
We invite you :
- to listen,
- learn,
- question the languages of this land,
- to be inspired by their breath, their singularity, their uniqueness, their identity.
This festival invites you to share your thoughts and words through the 'Ārere competition, which rewards the best writings and declamations, on the theme “'Ai'a”.
At Te Fare Tauhiti Nui, the festival has two main focuses:
- Promoting the value of languages within the “village”.
- Encouraging writing and reading through the 'Arere competition.
The 'Ārere competition will reward the best author and the best speaker, which can be the same person or two different people.
