Let's go! Put on your sneakers, skates, rollerblades, or even push the stroller: the City of Papeete invites you to its 24th Relaxation Day on Sunday, September 28, 2025, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., on the waterfront.
On the program:
- Introduction to Afro dance
- Fitness and tamure marathons
- Festive face painting & inflatable slides
- Drawing and coloring workshop
- Nani the clown and his balloon sculptures
- Fun activities & information stands on tourism and mobility
Tourism & culture (shopping district, with Tahiti Tourism)
- Interactive workshops: dyeing/painting on pareos, making monoi oil, making flower crowns and necklaces
Musical entertainment: Kaina trio, introduction to 'ori Tahiti, open karaoke
Interactive game “Discovering a site” via the Grall app, in partnership with the islands' and municipalities' tourism committees
Discussions on sustainable tourism with associations and committed stakeholders
Mobility & challenges
The Land Transport Department will be waiting for you on the Vaiete side for cycling activities, with fun challenges and prizes to be won!
Health & prevention
The French Polynesian Association for Diabetics and Obese People will be present to provide information, raise awareness, and offer diabetes screening.
Festive closing ceremony
From 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., don't miss the traditional dance performance by the Aparima Rau group on Paul Gauguin Street.
