A night dedicated to dancing, 100% zouk ~ bachata~ salsa on the terrace of Zion Social Club💃🏼✨
DU ZOUK 🌞 This word originally referred to popular dance venues in the 1900s in the French West Indies. In the early 20th century, this word was used to refer to a "hot" ball in Martinique and Guadeloupe. The group Kassav' marked the beginning of the expansion of Zouk in 1979 and continues to make the world dance today.
BACHATA 🌴 Originating from the Dominican Republic, it is in the 1980s that it spreads. This dance is a mixture full of folklore between rhythmic bolero, Haitian kompa, merengue, cha-cha-cha and tango!
FROM SALSA 🌶 It goes back to ancestors from Africa who were slaves, sent to the Caribbean especially to the island of Cuba. Born in the mid 50's, salsa eventually spread throughout Colombia and the rest of America. A lively, bewitching and dynamic tempo that makes all lovers of dancing for two dance.
