    Félix Terahiti Vilchez was born in Lima to a Peruvian father and a Polynesian mother and has been living in Montreal since July 2012.     Félix Terahiti Vilchez was born in Lima to a Peruvian father and a Polynesian mother and has been living in Montreal since July 2012. He started playing the piano in Polynesia at the age of 12 with Isabelle Debelleix at the French Polynesian Conservatory. During his years at the conservatory, he also had the opportunity to perform with other musicians, including the orchestra of the Artistic Conservatory of French Polynesia. In 2012, after graduating from the Conservatoire de Polynésie française, Felix moved to Montreal to pursue his piano studies at the University of Montreal's Faculty of Music.
    Felix was twice awarded a scholarship from the University of Montreal to participate in the Orford Arts Festival (Quebec) as an intern for two consecutive summers to work with renowned teachers such as
    such as Jimmy Brière, Marc Durand, Maneli Pirzadeh or Dang Thai Son,
    current jury member of the Frederique Chopin Festival in Poland.
    Recipient of the Denise Angers Excellence Scholarship on four occasions for his qualities as a pianist, he has performed as a soloist in Canada, French Polynesia and Peru. He is also very interested in the Cuban and South American classical and folkloric repertoire, a repertoire that he does not hesitate to include in his concerts.
    Moreover, Félix already has a great experience in teaching, being today professor in many music schools in Montreal, he also taught at the faculty of Music of the University of Quebec. At the age of 28, Félix is currently pursuing a doctorate in music at the Université de Montréal.
