Villa Coco Lagoon is located on a large, peaceful, private beachfront property in Punaauia at PK 18.3, just beyond the large white sandy beach at PK18, known as Plage Vaiava, on Tahiti's west coast.
Completely renovated and modernized in December 2022, this charming vacation rental retains all the assets of the Polynesian houses of yesteryear. It expresses their character and conviviality through large living spaces and a decoration that highlights local art. Numerous sculptures, tikis, tifaifai (colorful patchworks) and paintings adorn the rooms, giving the villa an authentic, typically Polynesian atmosphere.
With 160 m² of living space, the villa overlooks the lagoon. It features a vast 90 m² living room with high ceilings, including a fully-equipped kitchen, dining area and relaxing lounge. This central room is the heart of the villa: an essential gathering place. Two terraces surround it, allowing you to make the most of the outdoors and the spectacular views over the lagoon and the island of Moorea.
One of the terraces is covered, offering a protected space that can be used whatever the weather. The other terrace is naturally shaded by a majestic badamier tree - called Autera'a in Polynesian.
Adjoining this living area, the 20 m² master bedroom on the sea side has two beds (a California king-size and a queen-size), a private shower room (with WC, shower and washbasin) and a huge 18 m² dressing room.
Also accessible from the living room, the second 14 m² bedroom is located at the rear of the main room. It features a California king-size bed and its own shower room (with WC, shower and washbasin).
The third bedroom, measuring 15 m², also has a California king-size bed. Located at the rear of the villa on the garden side, it has no communication with the interior and is only accessible from the outside. For this reason, it is not recommended for young children who need to be close to their parents.
All rooms are air-conditioned and equipped with connected TV sets. A high-speed internet connection (fiber optic) is available free of charge for travelers.
A paddle board, a kayak and three sets of masks and snorkels are available.
The configuration comfortably accommodates 6 adults and 2 children, or 8 adults.
The lagoon is directly accessible from the garden via a private staircase. There's no beach here, but the shallow lagoon is at the foot of the stairs. A little further on, wearing bathing shoes, you can swim and observe the marine life of this magnificent lagoon.
The vast wooded property is fully fenced and secured by an automatic gate shared with the owners.
The owners live in another villa on the roadside, a good distance from Villa Coco Lagoon, ensuring independence and privacy for travelers. Very discreet and friendly, the owners - and their little dogs, including Coco - will only cross your path if the opportunity arises. The seafront is reserved for the exclusive use of Villa Coco Lagoon guests.
Within a 10-minute drive of the villa, you'll find a wide range of restaurants, activities and shops, including the Tamanu shopping center, just 5 minutes away by car.
Traffic in this area can be heavy on weekdays, especially during rush hours (between 5 and 8 a.m., and between 4 and 6 p.m.), due to the presence of only one main road around the island. We recommend you take this into account if you need to catch a flight before or after your stay at Villa Coco Lagoon. Please do not hesitate to contact us for further information.
Our team can also arrange for you to rent a car, which is essential during your stay, given the scarcity of public transport, particularly in the evening and at night.
