The Notre-Dame-de-Paix church is the first Tuamotu church.

The church of Notre-Dame-de-Paix (Our Lady of Peace), is the principal Catholic in the Tuamotu Islands. Built from coral blocks in 1874, it has recently been beautifully restored. Its Tahitian name is "Tetamanu Maria No te Hau" and it is situated opposite the pass in the south of the island. Please wear proper attire when visiting.
