A mystery valley

Situated 5 km from the village of Hakahau. is the mysterious, wild valley of kings. Its significance is due to it having been the home of the great chief Heatu. The area is dotted with archeological vestiges and petroglyph,s tucked away amid the dense vegetation. There are also ancient Catholic tombs guarded by tiki, marking the period of transition between the ancient beliefs and the arrival of Catholicism.
