Competition on a reef, on a left-hand side that unfolds as in Teahupoo, depending on swell and weather conditions, over a waiting period.
Possibility of opening the event to foreigners, with an option for a female Body Board competition for the 2026 edition.
Of course, this landmark event in Polynesian surfing since 1994 remains a performance stage for Polynesian athletes and a chance to prepare for the Teahupoo wave with disciplines not featured at the end of the island, apart from surfing (+60 local participants, not counting foreigners): Body Board, Drop Knee and Knee Board (+60).
