This year, the Mini Heiva presents "'Ā'AI NŌ FĀNĀTEA", an edition inspired by the legends deeply connected to the history and identity of our resort.
On July 24 & 25 and July 31 & August 1, the Grand Motu will be transformed into a living stage where Polynesian dances, music, flavors, and traditions will bring four mythical stories to life.
Friday, July 24 – Terehe, the Princess of Raiatea
Dress code: Yellow
Discover the legend of Princess Terehe, swallowed by a giant eel that later became Tahiti, the great fish.
Saturday, July 25 – Pai from Heaven to Tātā’a
Dress code: Blue
Relive the story of the warrior Pai, whose spear crossed the ocean from Tātā’a to Moorea.
Friday, July 31 – Tāfa’i Brings Hina Back to Life
Dress code: Red
A moving tale of love and courage, in which Tāfa’i undertakes the impossible journey to bring Hina back among the living.
Saturday, August 1 – Pointe Tātā’a and the Vai’aitu Spring
Dress code: Black
An immersion into ancestral Polynesian beliefs surrounding Tātā’a, the mythical departure point of souls on their journey to the afterlife.
