Tahitian Foil Contest - Punaauia

𝗧𝗔𝗛𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗔𝗡 𝗙𝗢𝗜𝗟 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗦𝗧 1st Edition 👑
The Tahitian Foil Contest is the first foil competition in Tahiti in this field 🏄♂️
For this great premiere, the competition will take place on JULY 23, 2022 starting at 9am at the 𝗢𝗥𝗢𝗛𝗜𝗧𝗜 park, in Punaauia!
With 2 events, freestyle and team speed relay, this competition aims to bring together foil enthusiasts as well as the non-initiated public, who will be able to follow the competition from the park.

- THE EVENTS - 🏄♂️
Freestyle event:
Throwing behind a boat, 2 competitors will have 5 minutes to perform as many styles as possible and be as original as possible (an official scale will be released a few days before D-day).
The winner will go to the next round while the loser will go to the repechage.
The last ones of the competition will have at least 3 wrinkles.
The juries will be placed directly on the boats in order to have a view on the 2 competitors.
Relay by teams:
Consisting of 3 people per team, the team relay is a speed event.
Lifted thanks to a jet-ski, 2 competitors of a different team will have to, once the starting line is passed, let go of the rudder and realize in pump a course defined as fast as possible.
In case of a fall, a jet-ski will pick you up and a time penalty will be given to your team.
The course will be positioned so that there is no interference between the two competitors in action.
The final time will be calculated by adding the times of the 3 team members.
A ranking will be given as the event progresses.

Prizes :
- Participation in 1 event: 2000 Francs
- Participation in 2 events : 3000 Francs
A registration form, which will be communicated to you in the next few days, must be filled in, signed and deposited with the participation fee.
Place of deposit to be defined, we will keep you informed as soon as possible...
In order to ensure your safety, participation in the event will require a license in an association linked to the Surfing Federation.
If a person wishes to participate without being licensed, he/she will have until the end of the registration period to obtain a license in an association.
These measures have been taken to ensure all participants.
